The story
A Punic foundation rebuilt in Hellenistic form in the 4th century BC on the slopes of Monte Catalfano, with a grid street plan. The paved main street, the agora, the theatre, cisterns, a gymnasium and several houses with mosaic floors and traces of wall decoration survive. Two small museums accompany the route. The view over the gulf is spectacular.
