The story

A limestone massif of about 600 metres that dominates Palermo and defines its landscape. A nature reserve, it holds Mediterranean scrub, endemic species and prehistoric sites with rock engravings in the Addaura Cave. The viewpoints along the ascent give views over the city, the Conca d'Oro and the gulf of Mondello. At the top stands the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia.
