The story

Laid out in the mid-19th century to a design by Giovan Battista Filippo Basile in the English landscape garden model, with winding paths, glades and exotic trees. It holds palms, monumental ficus, dracaenas and a small lake. Named after the regional president Piersanti Mattarella, murdered by the mafia in 1980, it has an equipped playground.
