The story
Opened in 1903 and named after the Biondo brothers who funded it, it is today Palermo's repertory theatre. The programme alternates contemporary drama, classics and productions in Sicilian. The horseshoe-shaped auditorium has been restored several times. It stands on Via Roma, the 19th-century axis cut through to link the station with the port.
