The story
Designed by Giuseppe Damiani Almeyda and inaugurated in 1874, it is a Neoclassical building on a semicircular plan, originally open-air and also used for equestrian and circus shows. The entrance is a triumphal arch crowned by Mario Rutelli's bronze quadriga, the 'Triumph of Apollo and Euterpe', flanked by two equestrian groups by Benedetto Civiletti. It is the home of the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra.
