The story

Palermo's city hall since the 15th century, it takes its name from the eagles, the city's civic emblem, which decorate the façade. The 1470 building was remodelled several times, most recently between 1874 and 1891 to a design by Giuseppe Damiani Almeyda. Inside you can see the grand staircase, the Sala delle Lapidi, the council chamber and the ceremonial rooms. From the first-floor windows you look over Piazza Bellini.
