The story

Set up in the Archbishop's Palace, it occupies three levels including archaeological excavations in the basement and twelve rooms on the noble floor once reserved for the archbishop. It gathers paintings, sculpture, furnishings and vestments largely from Palermo churches destroyed or badly damaged in the 1943 bombing, with works from the 12th to the 19th century.
