The story
Built between 1576 and 1596 for the powerful Genoese merchant community settled in the Loggia district. Its three-aisled plan on columns and the restraint of its decoration set it sharply apart from contemporary Palermo churches. The floor preserves numerous tomb slabs of Ligurian merchants. Now deconsecrated, it hosts exhibitions and cultural events.
