The story
Built from 1604 for the adjoining Benedictine women's monastery, the church was decorated over more than a century and a half. The interior is entirely clad in marmi mischi with figured inlays of exceptional quality, frescoes by Olivio Sozzi and a wooden choir. Its plain façade and its position, wedged among the Capo market stalls, make it very easy to miss.
