The story
A Dominican women's monastery founded in 1310 and rebuilt from 1566. The church is a triumph of marmi mischi, frescoes and stuccoes of the Serpotta school. Since 2017 the cloister, cells and enclosure walkways can also be visited, along with the terraces overlooking Piazza Bellini, the Martorana and San Cataldo. The pastry shop 'I Segreti del Chiostro' recreates Palermo's convent sweets from historic recipes.
