The story

Built in 1180 for William II inside the Genoardo park, the Cuba was a pleasure pavilion surrounded by water and reached by boat. It is a compact volume articulated by blind pointed arcades, with a dedicatory inscription in Kufic script running along the crown. After centuries as a lazaretto and cavalry barracks, it is now a bare shell of great formal power.
